School of Entrepreneurship & Business

Current Students

The School strives to improve opportunities for study for all students and, in keeping with the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, staff in the School of Entrepreneurship and Business are continually exploring possibilities for enhanced learning opportunities. Where feasible, students are introduced to different organisations, including businesses and public organisations, with a view to seeking mentoring support, possible voluntary placements in these organisations for the purpose of obtaining work experience, and international exchange activities.

All students are encouraged to become members of the Student Enterprise Club to enable them to create, develop and lead on individual or group-oriented activities, events, and related services. Typically, students are encouraged to organise their own seminars, visit other institutions, invite students from other universities, organise business plan competitions, and other activities of their choice. Some of these activities may be pump-primed by the School, while funding for other activities may be sourced from a variety of external agencies. The main purpose is to establish a lively, proactive environment for student activity which supports their own learning, and to create a unique alumni base for entrepreneurship development.
