Dr Ping Zheng

Ping Zheng lectures in entrepreneurship, leadership, strategy and human resource management in MSc and BSc programmes.
She joined the School in September 2006 and received her PhD from University of Kent in May 2007, after completing an MBA at the same school in 2003. She obtained her first degree in Dalian University of Foreign Languages in China in 1997. Before arriving in Britain, she worked as executive manager for a number of years in a US owned joint venture company specializing in venture capital, marketing, international trading, consultancy and developing business relations between US and China. She has also set up her own management consultancy business in UK.
Research Interests
The impact of ownership on organisational processes and performance; emerging forms of business venture under market socialism in China, and its related management issues: human resource management, leadership, entrepreneurship, strategy, and cross culture management. These interests are amplified in developing links between business relations between China and British companies, with ongoing research on entrepreneurial growth in China.
