Prior to his admission to a PhD programme at the University of Essex, Muhammad did his undergraduate studies in business administration (specialization in Management Information System) and MBA (specialized in Information Technology) from University of Peshawar, NWFP Pakistan. He also has three years experience as Lecturer in Business and management studies at University of Peshawar.

Doctoral research outline

Muhammad is taking a process view of entrepreneurship focusing on entrepreneurial identity construction where situated social practice and everyday experience are crucial to ‘becoming an entrepreneur’. The context of the study is an Afghan refugee group in Peshawar/Pakistan.
