Doctoral research outline

The proposed study will examine the issues associated with the professional culture of the public sector in relation to change, innovation and knowledge sharing. The NHS is a publicly funded health care system which is undergoing a process of great change, and the requirements for innovative practices are of the utmost importance. However, the bureaucratic, hierarchical and professional nature of the system can make this difficult. The study will use the qualitative method of ethnography to examine knowledge sharing practices in my area of work.
