School of Entrepreneurship & Business
Postgraduate Modes of Study
The following modes of study are available for each of the postgraduate taught programmes offered by the School of Entrepreneurship and Business.
Full-time over 12 months
Commencing each October, this route comprises study over three terms and finishes in the following September.
Full time over 18 months
Commencing each January, this route involves five terms of study. Students attend two terms of taught modules and their associated examinations in the first year, followed by three terms in the second year to complete the remaining modules, their examinations and the Dissertation or Marketing/Business Plan (as appropriate).
Part-time over 24 months
Commencing each October, and undertaking half of the taught modules and their examinations in the first year, students return the following October to complete the remaining modules, their examinations and the Dissertation or Marketing/Business Plan, (as appropriate) by the following September.
Modular By Credit Accumulation
It is also possible to gain awards by the accumulation of credit, by taking and passing the necessary modules that make up a postgraduate taught programme within a six year period (5 years for the taught element and one year for the dissertation/Comprehensive Business Plan). Students will initially be registered on a generic modular programme but they may request to change their registration to that for a specific programme at any point. There is no minimum time period for the completion of the necessary credits for an award, giving the maximum flexibility possible.
For CPD Purposes
All of our modules are available for study for the purposes of continuing professional development. Students who do not wish to gain credit will take part in group work but need not take written assignments and examinations as part of their study.
