Travel Information
The Southend Campus is located in the heart of Southend, within a few minutes walk of the High Street. Southend is situated within easy reach of London, taking less than an hour on either one of the main train lines servicing Southend (the Fenchurch Street line and the Liverpool Street Line). The Campus also benefits from the local airport offering flights to a selection of European countries and Southend is also less than an hour away from Gatwick airport by car.
Directions to the Southend Campus by:
Car
To reach the Campus by car, follow signs from the A13 or A127 for the Town Centre. There is a pay and display car park opposite the Campus in Elmer Avenue. There is also a car park underneath the South East Essex College building, operated on a pay on exit basis.
Train
Southend is served by two major railway lines: the c2c service from Southend Central (adjacent to the Campus) to London Fenchurch Street and the ‘one’ service from Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street. Both services reach London in approximately 50 minutes.
Coach
National Express coach services to Southend Bus Station operate from all over Britain. Direct coaches to Southend run every hour from Stansted airport and on a regular basis from other UK airports. Visit www.nationalexpress.co.uk for more details.
Bus
As the Campus is located in the town centre, most local buses stop nearby throughout the day and at weekends. Further information can be found at www.firstgroup.com and www.arriva.co.uk.
